Geographical displacement sums up much of my life, most recently with a cross-country move to attend grad school
in Boston. I was born on Guam in 1977 and raised in California, Iowa, Nevada, Virginia, Germany, and England. After a year in central Oregon, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to attend
U.C. Berkeley. Before moving to Boston I worked as a non-profit arts administrator. During my three years as a MFA candidate, I stopped painting, started screenprinting, and became increasingly interested in creating occasionally interactive multi-media installations that include both hand-made elements and digital media. Grad school brought me to Boston, but I left my heart in Oakland. I have an insatiable sweet tooth, can wiggle my ears, and watch too much television. I live in Dorchester, Massachusetts, with my
husband, son, and two cats.
